In the UAE, BIM requirements are largely set by the municipal authority. Dubai Municipality has required BIM for defined classes of building since 2013 and has widened what it requires for permits since. Always check the current circular for your project.

Dubai Municipality
Circulars 196 and 207 set the first BIM requirements for defined building types. Permit requirements have since widened; confirm the current rules.
Authority submissions
Some authorities require models and drawings extracted from the BIM model. We prepare to the submission format your consultant specifies.
ISO 19650
Referenced as good practice by many clients and consultants, and used by international contractors working in the region.

Civil Defence and utility requirements shape MEP design. We model what your engineer has designed to those requirements.
